She was born in 1951 to Argule and Media Fine. She graduated from Artesia High School in 1969, where she was known for her spirited personality.

Shortly after graduation, Serena married the love of her life, Lonnie Archer, on June 13, 1969. Their love story spanned more than five decades filled with joy, adventure and unwavering support for one another.

Serena had a passion for softball, a sport she both played and avidly followed. Her weekends were often spent on the field, either participating in games or cheering on her favorite teams. An avid outdoorswoman, she enjoyed hunting and fishing, pastimes that brought her immense joy and tranquility.

Her green thumb was evident in her beautiful garden, which was a source of pride and a place of solace for her. Serena’s garden was always in full bloom, reflecting her nurturing spirit and love for nature.

Above all, Serena was a devoted grandmother and great-grandmother. She was the biggest supporter of all her grandchildren’s and great-grandchildren’s activities, attending every game, recital and school event. Her encouragement and presence were a constant source of inspiration and love for her family.

Serena was a fiercely independent woman, known for her strength, resilience and unwavering determination. She lived life on her own terms with grace and dignity, leaving behind a legacy of love, compassion and perseverance.

Serena will be remembered for her boundless love, indomitable spirit, and the beautiful garden of memories she has left behind.
