Artesia residents rose early on Saturday to get an early start of Fourth of July activities in the community. Scores of people lined the parade route, which started at the Bulldog Park Bowl parking lot and ended downtown.
Activities continued at Jaycee Park in anticipation of the fireworks show around sunset.
