No sooner did Artesians officially learn that a new eatery was on its way than ground was being broken this week on the future home of Schlotzsky’s on the southeast corner of 10th and Main streets. The long-empty lot, which was recently sold to a developer by the City of Artesia, will now house the popular sandwich chain that made its exit from Roswell in late 2017. Artesia will also soon be welcoming an HTeaO on the site of the former Tastee-Freez building and a second McDonald’s at an as-yet-undisclosed location. (Photo by Latisha Romine – Daily Press)
