Mayor Phillip Burch presents Officer Chantel Longway of the Artesia Police Department with an award for five years of service during Monday’s City Council meeting. Though not in attendance, Ray Gordon and Jerry Johnson were also both honored for their service to Artesia. Gordon has been a public employee for five years, and Johnson has been working for the city for 20 years.
