Members of the Artesia High School band’s color guard practice a flag routine this morning in preparation for the upcoming marching season. Summer band for the rest of the AHS band officially begins July 27. The first day of school is slated for Monday, Aug. 15, and the band will debut its 2016 halftime show at the first Bulldog football game Aug. 26 against Carlsbad at Bulldog Bowl.
