An Artesia Police Department officer speaks with the victim of a shooting incident early this afternoon in the area of Second and Main streets. According to Cmdr. Lindell Smith, the victim drove to Main Street following the noon incident, which was loosely connected to a traffic accident at Roselawn and Gage avenues. The victim suffered a minor wound to his hand. The APD is continuing to investigate the incident; further details will be released as they become available.
