Above, members of the Zia Intermediate School Advanced Band keep their eyes on their director during the Artesia Public Schools band programs’ annual Winter Concert Monday at the Artesia High School Auditorium. At right, members of the Zia Beginning Band’s trumpet section concentrate on their timing during a performance of “Nuttin’ for Christmas.” Also performing Monday were the Park Junior High and AHS bands, which kept the audience entertained with a variety of traditional and interpretive songs.
