Design, site options, financing discussed at special meeting

The Artesia Public Schools Board of Education held a special meeting Monday night to discuss the beginning stages of the new freshman academy. Three entities were present at the meeting, all of which play a role in the development and implementation of the plans that will potentially push the project forward.
The architectural firm handling the design plans is Dekker, Perich and Sabatini with Benjamin Gardner, Shannon Parks, Hartwell Briggs and Jess Holmes present as their representatives. Next was Paul Cassidy with RBC Capital, the company helping develop a financial plan for APS. Finally, the Modrall, Sperling Firm, represented by Art Melendres, is the legal firm that will handle bond and amendment issues regarding the project. … For the rest of the story, subscribe in print and on the web.
