Local quilters are sewing in their final stitches just in time for the annual Artesia Quilters Guild exhibit at the Artesia Historical Museum and Art Center.
Starting this week, quilters will begin to bring in their latest creations and the museum will begin to design the 11th annual installation. The exhibit is scheduled to open July 19 and run through Aug. 27.

According to member Vickie Cogar, the guild will present quilts, table runners and tote bags. Guild members also craft wall hangings, clothing and baby blankets for the exhibit. … For the rest of the story, subscribe in print and on the web.
