Roswell boy and mother believed to be kidnapped in Amber Alert found safe

UPDATE: The NMSP report the pair has been found safe.

 

The New Mexico State Police (NMSP) have issued an Amber Alert following the kidnapping of a young Roswell boy and his mother.

Dayton Lerma, 2, and his mother, 26-year-old Celeste Alvidres, are belived to have been abducted by 29-year-old John Eric Lerma, who is currently wanted for murder.

Dayton is described as an Hispanic male, 2′, 26 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen Tuesday, May 11, in Roswell. Alvidres is described as an Hispanic female, 5’1″, 120 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair.

John Eric Lerma is described as 5’10”, 185 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair. He may have the pair in the Hagerman area; however, many details are still unknown and are under investigation.
