Fenn’s has been a fixture in Artesia since 1963, and for many years now, their motto has been “Best Meats in Town.” So it’s fitting and appropriate that they were voted as serving the Best Burger in the 2016 Best of Artesia contest.

Personally, I’ve always been picky about burgers. I want it done RIGHT — good flavor, good balance between the meat, fixings, and bun, and not so greasy that it dribbles all over the place or makes the bun soggy. So when I was asked to do this story, I knew that I needed to do a tasting of my own!

And it’s true. For just a great, all-around burger, this is the one to beat (or eat — haha). Fenn’s cooks them to order and adds whatever fixings the customer wants — they get it right, too!

Deli Manager Gloria Couture works hard to keep it fresh and fast — 10 minutes or less, most of the time — saying, “When I see people lined up, I’m in the back helping to get it out.”

The hungry customers appreciate this, too, and keep coming back for more.

The word is out online, too — look up Fenn’s Country Market on Yelp and what pops up? A big photo captioned “The Best Burger” from Anna in 2014!
