The Dessert Studio is expanding its menu options to include items for those seeking a savory treat as well as sweet.

The local shop, which opened its doors March 4, has quickly gained popularity for its delicious homemade pies, which may be purchased by the slice or whole.

A set list of flavors that are always available – including pecan, coconut cream, chocolate cream, and the fan favorite buttermilk – are complemented each day by a wide variety of rotating pies, such as blueberry cream, peanut butter, pumpkin, and many more.

The shop’s dessert options also include cheesecakes with “build your own” toppings, brownies, cookies, cakes and cobblers.

The Dessert Studio is also now offering quiche daily in tempting flavors like green chile chicken, as well as take-and-bake casseroles for those seeking an effortless homemade meal.

“There’s nothing more satisfying than freshly-made desserts and meals right out of the oven,” say The Dessert Studio’s owners, Shannon, Mitzi and Mary Johnson. “Follow the sweet aroma to The Dessert Studio and indulge yourself. Customers and friends are just extended family.”

The Dessert Studio’s summer hours are 2-7 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.

For more information or to inquire about take-and-bake casseroles, which must be ordered in advance, call 736-7340 or 748-5177.
