Four businesses in the 500 block of West Main Street were targeted by thieves Saturday, and the Artesia Police Department says it has suspects.

Officers were dispatched between 4 and 7 a.m. Saturday to Liberty Finance, 516 W. Main St., Inkredible Printing, 514 W. Main St., and Farmers Insurance – Ronnie Jackson, 518 W. Main St., in reference to open doors.

Later that afternoon, reports of a property incident and a burglary were reported at Farmers Insurance and My-Vape, 506 W. Main St.

Cmdr. Lindell Smith of the APD says the open doors and burglary reports were related, and that police have suspects in the incident. He says charges will likely be filed following interviews.
