Brigit Ponce throws her hands in the air after making a turn at the end of the runway during the 100th Day of School Fashion Show Monday at Grand Heights Early Childhood Center. Students strutted the catwalk wearing homemade shirts designed with 100 objects of their choice. Ponce sported a design featuring people playing in an outdoor landscape. Other fashions ranged from shirts decorated with pennies, hearts, super heroes and robots to some tasty creations covered in lollipops. According to Grand Heights teacher Jeanette Johnson, it is the educators’ goal to have each student familiar with all numbers before they graduate to the first grade. Students who can count to 100 receive a special award. (Tyler Green - Daily Press)
