The Motor Vehicle Department, located on 602 S. First St., has announced changes that have been developing behind its doors. Four new full-time employees have been hired, software has been updated, and the MVD has changed its hours. Hours are now 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. weekdays. “We’re much, much faster now,” said Lala Stroman, manager. “The waiting room used to be packed, and now there’s hardly ever a line.” Pictured from left are MVD employees Angela Granger, Julia Lara, Stroman, Marlena Lopez and Naomi Florez. The MVD is also now taking appointments for handicapped customers. To make an appointment, call 746-1323.
