According to the drawings, the shelter will include 20 double-sided kennels. The kennels feature a door between each side of the kennel that allow a dog to be moved from one side to the other while the opposite side is cleaned. The double-sided kennels also give the option to service up to 40 dogs. The plans include an area for servicing cats, a lobby, office space, a food prep area, a sally port and a building for storage, euthanasia and cold storage. In addition, the plans include an option to enclose the sally port which would create an intake and holding space with three to four kennels and a basic treatment area.
