The Artesia City Council has approved a new city ordinance regarding garbage collection and disposal. The “polycart” ordinance was approved by the council at Tuesday night’s meeting.
The new ordinance will set rules and regulations regarding the new polycarts that have replaced traditional dumpsters in some areas of the city.
The polycart ordinance – which was initially brought before the council several months ago – was approved after a public hearing during which councilors, city officials and concerned citizens expressed their opinions on the most recent draft of the new ordinance. … For the rest of the story, subscribe in print and on the web.
