The Artesia City Council will consider zone change and annexation ordinances in three different areas Tuesday at its regularly-scheduled meeting.

Public hearings will be held on each zone change prior to consideration of passage by the council. The areas in question include:

• zone change from R1-B Single-Family District to C Business District for 202 S. 19th St., Tract 1 of the Parrish Subdivision (postponed from June 14)

• zone change from SA-2 Suburban Acreage District to C Business District for 315 S. 39th St., Lots 13 and 14, Block 3, of the Davis No. 2 Subdivision.

• annexation and designation of zoning districts for the Northpark Annexation, including sections of the public right-of-way of 13th Street, Compress Road, and U.S. 285.

The council will also hold a public hearing on the consideration and approval of an ordinance approving a PPA between the City of Artesia and OK Express Lube.

Additionally, Economic Development Director Michael Bunt will address the council concerning the approval of the usage of Greater Economic Development Corporation (GAEDC) funds, and City Clerk Aubrey Hobson will request approval of the preliminary end-of-year budget adjustment resolution.

The meeting is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. Tuesday in Council Chambers at City Hall.
