ARTESIA — The Artesia City Council will hear a presentation on its 2014-15 audit and elect the mayor pro tem amidst a moderate agenda Tuesday.

Griego Professional Services will deliver the audit presentation during the public officials and contracted services comment period.

The council will also discuss and consider a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with Eddy County for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) project for the sewer line at York and Main streets.

In final business, Mayor Phillip Burch will submit the names of appointive officers for confirmation by the council – including City Attorney John Caraway; Infrastructure Director Byron Landfair; Clerk/Treasurer Aubrey Hobson; Fire Chief J.D. Hummingbird; Police Chief Don Raley; Human Resources Director Sandi Farley; and Community Development Director Jim McGuire – as well as all current full-time, part-time, probationary and asneeded employees of the city as of March 22.

The mayor pro tem will then be elected.
