Lilith Ellis has been located and is safe.

***** AMBER ALERT *****

An Amber Alert has been issued for 2-year-old Lilith Ellis of Artesia.

The New Mexico State Police report Ellis’ father, Ricky Ellis, 54, of Artesia drove to a residence in the 800 block of Cannon Avenue this morning and shot at the homeowner, who returned fire. It is unknown if Lilith was struck. She is described as 2′, 30 pounds, with blonde hair and blue eyes. She was wearing pink-and-green pajamas.

Ricky Ellis is described as 5’9″, 150 pounds, with salt-and-pepper hair and blue eyes. He was last seen in a black 2012 Dodge 1500 pickup with bullet holes on the passenger side, bearing New Mexico license plate BLYR36. Destination is unknown. Anyone seeing them or with potential information is urged to dial 911. Do not approach, as Ricky Ellis is considered armed and dangerous.
