 Representatives of the Artesia Chamber of Commerce, the Artesia Library Foundation, the City of Artesia, Sweatt Construction and First American Bank gather this morning at a small ceremony hosted by the chamber to mark the demolition of an old brick building located at Second Street and Quay Avenue. The soon-to-be vacant property will become a new parking lot for First American Bank, and the new Artesia Public Library will be built on the site of the bank’s current parking lot.
