Firefighters with the Artesia Fire Department and Riverside Volunteer Fire Department responded this morning to a grass fire east of Riverside, near mile marker 114. According to Eli Herrera with the AFD, the department has responded to four grass fires on his shift alone due to the recent high winds and lack of moisture.
