Mayor Phillip Burch met with the coordinators of the 10th Annual Good Shepherd Toy Giveaway Tuesday to declare the month of December as “Donate A Toy Month” in Artesia. The Good Shepherd Toy Giveaway, which will provide toys to children in the community ages birth – 15, will take place from 4-6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 18, at Forever Free Fellowship, 801 W. Grand Ave. The church is currently accepting donations of new or used toys, which can be dropped off at the church. Donations can also be picked up by calling 748-8839 or 520-1075. A toy donation blitz will take place from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 11, at Kmart, 2307 W. Main St. (Ashley Trujillo - Daily Press)
