Firefighters with the Artesia Fire Department inspect a trailer home at 3105 W. Missouri Ave. Thursday afternoon following a small electrical fire. The AFD was dispatched just before 3:30 p.m. Thursday to the home, where they found residents spraying water on the side of the structure near the front door. Firefighters noted light smoke issuing from the bottom of the wall but no active fire. After entering the home, it was noted an electrical outlet and double light switch were melted, with smoke and heat damage to the surrounding wall. Residents stated the outlet was non-working prior to the fire, which was determined to be electrical in nature.
