Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 8, at Mid-Cities Community Church in Midland, Texas, for Eva L. Garcia of Artesia.

Garcia, 48, went home to be with our Lord Thursday, Sept. 3, 2015, surrounded by family and friends in Midland.

Interment will follow the services at Serenity Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 4-9 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. – 9 p.m. Monday at Lewallen-Garcia-Pipkin Funeral Home and Chapel in Midland. A celebration service will also be held at 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Garcia was born Dec. 28, 1966, in Odessa, Texas, to Saul Luna and Rosario Garcia of Midland. She spent most of her days in Midland, where she met the love of her life, Armando Garcia. Together, they shared three sons, whom she adored.

She was the most positive influence in her children’s lives and easily the greatest wife and mother in the world. Garcia was the cornerstone of her family. She enjoyed spending time living and laughing with her family and friends more than anything in the world. She loved her family and friends unconditionally, and along with her children and grandchildren, her nieces and nephews meant the world to her.

She enjoyed camping with her family and friends, and there was never a penny slot machine she could walk past without feeding. She had the greatest sense of humor and was one of the warmest people to walk this planet. There was never a stranger to her, and everyone who encountered her path was a friend. Her smile and laughter made others feel welcomed in her presence.

She was an employee of Baker Hughes for the last nine years, where she enjoyed the company of friends along with her work.

She was courageous and never complained with an unwavering love and commitment to the Lord. Garcia touched several lives in many different ways, and she will be missed by all.

Survivors include her husband, Armando Garcia, of Artesia; sons Martin Castaneda and Michael Garcia, both of Midland; elder siblings Elizabeth Ramos and Saul Luna II, both of Midland, and younger brother Jonathan Luna of Long Beach, Calif.; her parents, Saul Luna and Rosario Garcia; six grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, in-laws and cousins.

She was preceded in death by son Armando Garcia III; mother-in-law Christine Garcia; sister-in-law Yvette Garcia; maternal grandparents Rev. Jose and San Torres; paternal grandparents Edwijez and Maria Luna; and stepfather Andres Abalos Sr.

Arrangements are under the direction of Lewallen-Garcia-Pipkin Funeral Home and Chapel. Condolences may be expressed online at www.lewallengarciapipkinfh.com or emailed to pipkin@ntsonline.net.
