On Saturday, September 24, Carlsbad Caverns National Park will recognize National Public Lands Day by offering free general entry to the cavern.

Free general entry provides access to two self-guided trails in the Big Room and Natural Entrance. All other ranger-led tours will require normal fees and reservations.

This year marks the 23rd anniversary of National Public Lands Day, the nation’s largest, single-day volunteer effort for public lands. More than 200,000 volunteers and park visitors will celebrate at 2,500 sites in every state.
