Some people might look at the Friends of the Library’s book closet at the Artesia Public Library and see a big mess. But for the rest of us, when faced with a room full of books, we get excited just thinking about the possibilities!

Maybe there’s a great story that we haven’t read yet. Maybe there’s a gift for someone we love. Maybe there’s something interesting about something interesting… who knows?

But if you’re wondering what all these books are, and how many you might need, the wait will soon be over. The Friends of the Library will be hosting a book sale from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. Friday, Jan. 27, in the library meeting room, and browsing is encouraged.

Books can be purchased individually at bargain-basement prices, or in bulk: $10 per grocery bag or $15 per box. The proceeds go toward supporting Friends of the Library projects for the Artesia Public Library, and unsold books will be shipped to Better World Books, an organization that has reused/recycled more than 250 million books.

So take a break from more reruns on TV and read a new (to you) book instead — you just might get hooked!
