Habitat for Humanity International’s RV Care-A-Vanners will be rolling into Artesia next week to help build the future home of a local family in need.

The Care-A-Vanners, who travel in RVs from places all over the country, coordinate with local Habitat affiliates through HFHI headquarters in Americus, Ga.

On Tuesday, Sept. 11, the group will arrive in three rigs. The Eddy County Fair Board has agreed to let them stay at the fairground RV sites while they work.

The volunteers will be assisting in the beginning construction phases at 316 Runyan Ave. beginning Tuesday and intend to stay in Artesia for three weeks. … For the rest of the story, subscribe in print and on the web.
