City of Artesia Director of Infrastructure Robert Forrest may be in hot water after an incident Friday night that resulted in a DWI charge.

According to the arrest report relating to the incident, Eddy County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the intersection of North 13th and Pheasant Street in Artesia after a motorist witnessed a vehicle strike a barrier near Bowman Avenue and Ritchie Avenue and then flee to a residence on North 13th Street.

The deputies went to the residence and discovered a silver Hummer with front end damage parked in the driveway. When they were allowed entry into the residence, the deputies discovered 46-year-old Forrest inside.

Forrest, who allegedly appeared intoxicated, became visibly upset when he saw the deputies in his home and asked them to leave. … For the rest of the story, subscribe in print and on the web.
