Rob Morrisey has not traveled further than Albuquerque since opening the Jahva House coffee shop in 2005. Between managing the shop and promoting concerts he rarely has time to take a vacation.
In the upcoming week, the Jahva House will be hosting four free concerts which Morrisey says is abnormal for any time of the year. And while he won’t be taking a vacation any time soon, he says the concerts rekindle his spirit and act as a conduit to give back to the community.
“As a coffee shop, it’s really hard to do anything other than be a place for people to come relax and listen to positive music,” said Morrisey who never expected the Christian-based coffee shop would become a haven for musicians. “I really wanted to be more involved and doing these concerts has been a good way to be more active.” … For the rest of the story, subscribe in print and on the web.
