Memorial services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday, April 20, at First United Methodist Church for Jason Douglas Bergstrom Cirio.

Cirio, 33, passed away Thursday, April 6, 2017, in Carlsbad.

Pastor Monty Leavell will officiate at the services. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Terpening & Son Mortuary. Interment of cremated remains will follow the services at Twin Oaks Memorial Park.

Jason was born April 20, 1983, in Englewood, Colo., to Daniel Charles Cirio and Linda (Bergstrom Cirio) Pastorello.

He came to Artesia in 1992 from Virginia and was a 2001 graduate of Artesia High School.

Jason was a foreman crane operator for Mosaic Construction. He was a regular attendee of Centre Avenue Baptist Church, participated in the Elks Lodge, and was part of the United Steel Workers Union.

Survivors include his spouse, Heather; children Chloe and Hayden; mother Linda Pastorello; sister Rachel Devereaux and husband Jeff; brothers Dru and Casey Cirio; nieces Madison and Ashley Devereaux; and many other family members and friends in Artesia.

He was preceded in death by his father and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
