Graveside services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 30, at Lake Arthur Cemetery for Joe A. Hooten.

A funeral procession will begin at 10 a.m. from Terpening & Son Mortuary.

Survivors he leaves behind on this earth to never give up and to keep believing include his loving wife, Donna Hooten; brother Matthew Hooten; son Chris; daughters Kimberly, Krystal, Casey and Brittaney; most of all, the light of his life, his grandkids, Jeremiah Jr., ZZ, Nadia, Jeffrey, Lillie and Kaih; sons-in-law Jeremiah Watts and Mandingo Mitchell; all of his cousins, aunts and uncles, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; mother-in-law Frances Jones; and his mother, Leota Burch.
