 Participants in the Navajo Refining Kids’ Q, a barbecue competition held at Smokin’ on the Pecos for children ages 7-14, gather Friday evening at the Eddy County Fairgrounds for the results. In the 7-10 age group, fifth place went to Abagail Brummet from Denton, Texas; fourth place was Colt Hendrix from Artesia; third place was Jayden Brown from Denton; second place was Hannah Vega from Artesia; and first place was Ethan Grob from Thorton, Colo.
