Memorial services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, March 18, at Faith Baptist Church for Lana Ruth (Langenegger) Phoenix.

With sadness, the family shares news of her passing Saturday, Jan. 21, 2017, in Denver, Colo.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. March 18 at the Hagerman Cemetery. All friends and family members are welcome to attend.

Lana was born Nov. 28, 1948, in Roswell to Helen and Bill Langenegger of Hagerman. She graduated from Hagerman High School and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Arts from Temple Buell/Colorado Women’s College.

Lana was a resident of Denver since 1966 and had many friends there who shared her passion for fashion, music, skiing and running. As the owner of Twice as Haute, an upscale consignment boutique, Lana enjoyed helping her customers find just the right clothing for more than 15 years.

Her goal was to run a half-marathon in all 50 states, and she came close – only had 12 states to go. She loved live music, and one of her favorite venues was Red Rocks. Lana loved to ski the hard runs, and Steamboat Springs was dear to her heart.

Her passion for living a full life never ended. Her brief tenure with brain cancer did not slow her down much, a testimony to her determination. But the Lord had a plan and a special place for Lana, no longer on this earth. She will be greatly missed.

Survivors include son Jeremy Hartgrove and wife JJ of San Angelo, Texas; grandchildren Carson and Dylan; and sisters Jeaneen Rogers of Phoenix, Ariz., and Kathy Moore-Gregory of Tijeras.

She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
