Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday, April 15, at West Main Baptist Church for Lenna Faye Chase of Artesia.

Chase, 76, passed away Monday, April 11, 2016, at her son’s home in Artesia.

Belton Mathews will officiate at the services, with interment to follow at Twin Oaks Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Robert Chase, Richard Chase, George Chase Jr., Mark Brewer, Matt Brewer and Ralph Doughty. Honorary pallbearers are Donald Archer and all grandchildren.

Lenna was born June 20, 1939, in Roby, Texas, the daughter of Thomas and Willie Faye (Sessum) Hitt. She was a longtime resident of Artesia.

On Feb. 1, 1958, she married Bill Chase in Artesia.

She loved fishing, crocheting, arrowhead hunting, visiting the casino, and most of all, playing with her grandbabies.

Survivors include sons Verble Chase and wife Gaynel of Carlsbad and Danny and Sheila Chase of Artesia; brother Sonny Davidson of Middleton, Idaho; grandchildren Justin Chase and wife Alexandra, Whitney Ballard and husband Parker, Kara Chase and Paul Bratcher, and Kelsi Orquiz and husband Richard; and great-grandchildren Peyton Chase, Avery Chase, Wesley Ballard, Paige Ballard, Adaleine Bratcher and Bentley Orquiz.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Chase, on Dec. 10, 2012; her parents; and sister Tommie Ruth Medina.
