The Artesia Downtown Lion’s Club will be hosting its annual tailgate party prior to the Bulldogs’ game against El Paso Cathedral Oct. 28 near Bulldog Pit. Tickets are $6 each and can be purchased from Terry Maupin by calling 748-1301 or Ronnie Jackson by calling 746-2754. Proceeds benefit community projects such as Junior Lion scholarships, glasses for students, Habitat for Humanity and Christmas baskets for the needy.
