According to Artesia Mayor Phillip Burch, 68 undocumented detainees at Artesia’s Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detention facility have been released to locations within the United States this week, with 13 detainees being deported.
“The numbers speak for themselves,” Burch said. “In one of our early reports from ICE, very early on, we saw 138 people being deported, with only 12 released.
