Visitors to the Daily Press offices and drivers along Main Street will not have missed the ongoing work being done to the front of the newspaper’s longtime home at 503 W. Main St. Following the unfortunate demise of the paper’s art deco overhang last year due to age, wear and tear, the building is currently being re-stuccoed by contractor Leo Vasquez and his crew in preparation for new painting and sign work. The building will retain its same tan color but will be accented with a new spotlighted, 3D sign and forest green awning. Workers are expected to have the front of the office complete in approximately a week and will then begin work re-stuccoing and painting the east side of the building.
