The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) District Two began a project this week to rehabilitate pavement on U.S. 54 in Lincoln County.
The work runs from mile marker 118 to mile marker 123 south of Carrizozo and is expected to be complete this summer, weather permitting.
During the project, motorists can expect short delays between the hours of 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Motorists are asked to watch for construction personnel.
