Lauren Austin, education and outreach coordinator with the Ocotillo Performing Arts Center, stands ready to shape Artesia’s next generation of artists as registration continues for the OPAC’s art, music and theatre classes. Youth art classes are filling up quickly, particularly in the K-through-second-grade age group. Adult art classes are also available. Music lessons for students of all ages are available in guitar, piano and voice, and registrations are also being accepted for beginning theatre, advanced theatre, and the Ocotillo Storytellers. Registration ends Sept. 5; however, late registrations will be accepted next week. To register or for more information on classes and upcoming workshops and events, contact Austin at 746-4212 or lauren@artesiaartscouncil.com.
