Andy Ellett, an area farmer, discusses farm safety with a group of Park Junior High students Friday morning as part of the school’s Agriculture Day presentations. The eighth- and ninth-graders were able to listen to a number of speakers, including Eddy County Extension Agent Woods Houghton and Artesia FFA officers from Artesia High School, as a celebration marking the end of the school’s Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers (PARCC) testing last week.
