For the third year in a row Staycy Thurman’s Hot Lemon Poke Cake was the overall winner in the Annual Eddy County Fair’s Pecan Pie Contest, winning her $100 from the Kitchen Mommas.
Thurman’s cake along with other cakes, pies, pastries and the like were auctioned off by auctioneer Shane Hall Thursday July 23, at the Eddy County Fairgrounds.
Those submitting entries were: Julie Foster, Cathy Lewis, Tina Holleman, Chance Boans, Lisa Boans, Stayce Thurman, Betty Klein, Nancy Kleihege, Liana Swarengin, Rita Clemmons and Mary Hendrickson.
