TO THE EDITOR:
The Artesia Historical Museum recently held a grand opening for our new Art Center, and we want to express our gratitude to everyone for your support and patience during the construction period.
We especially want to thank the City of Artesia for funding our new building, and the Artesia Historical Museum Foundation for furnishing it! For our grand opening reception, PVT donated bottled waters and the Adobe Rose provided delicious goodies — thank you!
As always, we’ve had great support from the Artesia Daily Press, Pecos Valley Broadcasting, and PVT’s channel 16.
The Artesia Lodger’s Tax board funded our reception, and Santo Petroleum sent us a big and beautiful flower arrangement — thank you! City Facilities Maintenance Dept. Supervisor John Anguiano and Tommy Raglin mowed our yard for us, and the Artesia Quilters Guild provided our wonderful opening exhibit — thank you! Our architect, Jose Zelaya of JMZ Arquitectos, and our contractor, Southwest CM, have given us a building to be proud of — thank you!
And last but not least, we want to do a shout-out to the BEST NEIGHBORS EVER: Jessie Gonzales and his family, who were good sports throughout a loooong construction period next door to them and who never once quit smiling. Thanks so much for being great!
If you haven’t seen our new Art Center yet, come on down!
