ARTESIA MAGISTRATE COURT

Luis Duran, 35, of Artesia, scheduled to appear June 21 for preliminary examination on charges of aggravated assault against a household member, possession of drug paraphernalia, and resisting, evading or obstructing an officer.
David G. Rosales, 28, of Artesia, scheduled to appear July 12 for pretrial conference on charges of DWI and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Charges of battery against a household member dismissed against Sonny Gonzales, 25, of Artesia.
Danny Murray, 34, of Artesia, found guilty of battery. Sentenced to 15 days in ECDC and 167 days of supervised probation. Total fines and fees $173. In a separate ruling, Murray was scheduled to appear May 18 for non-jury trial on charges of unlawful use of a license.

ARTESIA MUNICIPAL COURT

Yoshimi N. Balderrama found guilty of unlawful use of a license, display of current valid registration plate, and mandatory financial responsibility. Sentenced to 14 days with the ECDC Alternative Sentencing Unit. Total fines and fees $922.

Escolastico N. Reza Jr. found guilty of possession of drug paraphernalia. Sentenced to 10 days in the Artesia Detention Center. Total fines and fees $229.
Brandy N. Leonard found guilty of disorderly conduct. Total fines and fees $129.
Carmel J. Smolik found guilty of possession of drug paraphernalia. Sentenced to 90 days of supervised probation. Total fines and fees $329.
Arturo J. Galvan found guilty of shoplifting. Sentenced to 90 days of supervised probation. Total fines and fees $229.
