Facility graces cover of Fire Chief Magazine

Anyone who glances at the November 2011 issue of Fire Chief Magazine will see a sight that is becoming quite familiar to Artesia residents: the Artesia Public Safety Complex (PSC).

The complex was entered into the national publication’s “2011 Station Style Design Awards” competition, and came away with a gold medal, a centerfold in the magazine and the cover of the magazine itself.

The 11th annual Station Style Fire Station Design Awards were held to recognize outstanding architecture and design from the fire departments nationwide.

Gold, silver and bronze awards – as well as some honorable mentions – were given in five categories: volunteer and combination departments, career departments, satellite stations, shared-facilities and renovated fire stations. … For the rest of the story, subscribe in print and on the web.
