Penasco Valley Telecommunications (PVT) is now accepting scholarship applications for the 2016 PVT Education Foundation Scholarship, the PVT Directors’ Memorial Scholarship, and the Foundation for Rural Services (FRS) Scholarship.

Students attending any institution of higher learning – two- or four-year college or university, trade school, business school, or equivalent institution – are invited to complete applications. All three scholarships are for undergraduate work.

The PVT Education Foundation Scholarship is a $4,000 award, $500 per semester. This scholarship is for high school seniors, current college students, and returning adult students. Students must be an immediate family member of someone who has land-line service in one of PVT’s exchanges – Cottonwood, Hondo, Hope, Lakewood, Loco Hills and Mayfield. The application must be submitted to PVT Headquarters, 4011 W. Main St., by March 1.

The PVT Directors’ Memorial Scholarship is a one-time award of $500 for the freshman year only.

The FRS Scholarship is a $2,500, one-time award. This scholarship is available to any graduating high school senior who is a subscriber to any PVT service – internet, cable, security, business telecommunications, etc., excluding cell service. Completed applications must be submitted to PVT Headquarters by Feb. 22.

Applications may be obtained at PVT Headquarters or online at www.pvt.com. Submissions of the PVT application are for consideration of both the Education Foundation Scholarship and the Directors’ Memorial Scholarship. Eligible applicants may receive one or both awards. Eligibility does not guarantee a scholarship.
