The Ocotillo Performing Arts Center’s Rising Stars program presented “The Wizard of Oz: Young Performers’ Edition” Friday and Saturday as its annual summer musical. The young actors charmed audiences with Dorothy’s beloved and familiar journey through the merry old land of Oz. Above, Dorothy, portrayed by Emma Gallegos, speaks with Glinda (Alayna Orosco) as the faithful Toto (Jade Hammond) sits by her side. Below, the Wicked Witch of the West (Devynne Kelsey) makes a dramatic entrance following the death of her sister, the Wicked Witch of the East, by flying house. At bottom, the Lollipop Guild, portrayed by Adriynn Coppedge, Ashton Craft and Kymber Beltran, thank Dorothy for her unintentional disposal of the witch of the East.
