Memorial services are scheduled for 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, at First Baptist Church for Robert Bernard Schneider, aka Tiny, Bobby, Dad, Bubba and Opa, of Sawyer, Okla.

Schneider, 61, passed away Thursday, Oct. 29, 2015, at his home in Sawyer.

He was born March 17, 1954, in Arlington, Texas, the son of Bernard William Schneider and Billie Kay (Markham) Schneider.

He was a longtime resident of Artesia and longtime employee of Navajo Refining, president of local Moose Lodge 2152, member of Masonic Lodge 28, and managed a restaurant and hotel in Cloudcroft. He enjoyed coaching Little League, dancing, hunting, fishing, playing\ pool, and working with horses.

Schneider had resided in Sawyer since 2007.

Survivors include his wife, Jennifer Schneider, and daughter, Natalie Schneider, of the home; sons John Robert Schneider and wife Susan and David Schneider and wife Shannon, both of Artesia; three stepdaughters, Tammy Poage of Farmington, W.V., Heather Poage of Sawyer and Amanda Steed and husband Jason of Artesia; sister Jo Lynn Schneider of Artesia; 15 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Lori Lynn Schneider, in 1985; and a brother, John Allen Schneider.

His family would like to give special thanks to all family and friends for their support during this difficult time. Please join us in this celebration of his life with a meal to follow.
