Mass was held at 10 a.m. today at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church for Rodney Lara.

Lara, 54, passed away Monday, Dec. 16, 2019, in Roswell.

Visitation was held from 8-9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Grace, and a rosary was recited at 9:30 a.m.

at the church. Pallbearers were Anthony Lara, Emilio Lara, Zach Lara, Joe Gonzalez, Javi Barraza and Steven Molina.

Rodney was born Dec. 14, 1965, in Artesia to Socorro and Tony Lara II.

He was a former member of the National Guard. He loved the time he spent with his children and family.

Survivors include his wife, Debbie Lara; daughters Mariah Lara, Brianna Lara, Jerica Lara and Kelly Munoz; brother Anthony Lara III; sister Annette Meeks; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Tony Lara II and Socorro Lara; brothers Phillip and Patrick Lara; and sisters Debbie Lara and Carolina Lara.

Arrangements are under the direction of Anderson-Bethany Funeral Home of Roswell.
