Youngsters were all smiles last week at the Artesia Public Library’s Oh! What Fun Holiday Shindig. Whether it was posing for photos with Kris Kringle himself after imparting their Christmas wishes, playing games, creating crafts, enjoying snacks, or just hanging out with family members and friends, residents were able to bump their spirits up a few notches as they move into the holiday home stretch.
Coming up at 6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 22, is First United Methodist Church’s annual Live Nativity, and at 4 p.m.
Tuesday, Dec. 17, teens in grades 6-12 can compete in a gingerbread house competition at the Artesia Public Library. A Community Choir Caroling Concert is on tap for 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 18, at First Presbyterian Church, and two holiday productions will arrive this week at the Ocotillo Performing Arts Center: “A Christmas Carol” Monday, Dec. 16, and “Celtic Angels Christmas” Friday, Dec. 20.
